An Update From Patty

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been too long, but it's not easy being me. We just did 2 dates this past weekend in Maryland and Pennsylvania. It was a lot of fun, one of the clubs was so small I could eat peoples food between songs.

Extra is doing a piece on us and it's supposed to be on the week of Thanksgiving. Yikes Man! Thanksgiving, because I have 6 kids I do have to cook the whole friggin' thing, and no they don't help, well Ava does. This year I hope to have a lot of friends over to break up the extended family tension that always comes with the big bird.

The new record is sounding really good, I can't wait to get the first song out. We may do a full album instead of the EP, I now have a Facebook Fan Page so check it out, and be my fan.

This has been a crazy year, i look forward to the new one on the horizon. We plan on touring as much as possible, now that we are back we are here to stay. I just want to thank all those die hard fans of ours who come to so many shows and drive so many miles. It means a lot to me and the guys. It's great to see all your faces out there singing along. We stayed and met a lot of people after the show, which took about an hour. I like seeing my fans, I just hate cell phone pictures. Who looks good in those???? an 8 year old maybe. I am going to try and keep in touch, remember about the MySpace page too (Visit the myspace page). We will be putting up a little store soon on this site very shortly. I'm also putting up some artwork done by my fans, there is some amazing stuff. If you have some feel free to email them to pattysmythscandal@gmail.com and maybe we will put it up....

I know I have forgotten a ton of shit, so you may be hearing from me sooner than you think

Greetings! - 2009-05-21
Whenever I hear the songs "The Warrior" and "Beat Of A Heart" I suddenly want to drop everything I'm doing and just listen to the end of the song. Always have been my favorites and always will!!1

curious about Out There - 2009-05-21
Patty, one of my favorite songs of yours is "Out There". Is that from a real life experience or a composite of several experiences? All the best to you, your family, and the band this new year.

Hi Patty - 2009-05-21
Very much a child of the 80s and love your music. I remember you did a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole lotta love" on The Letterman show in 1987. Can't find that song anywhere! Are you still covering that song?? Rock On!

Fan Art - 2009-05-21
I have some awesome pictures of you from the 2008 Iowa State Fair where you opened for Rick Springfield. Do those count as fan art for the site?

Hi Patty!! - 2009-05-21
I'm a long time fan of yours and I'm really happy you've started touring again! I live in Michigan's UP and it's hard to see great bands like yours in this neck of the woods! I hope you play close enough so my wife and I can come and see you. Take care and keep belting it out! I play and sing myself. I have a group named The BearWalkers. Our website is: thebearwalkers.com If you have time,(and I'm sure that's rare!) Check out our site! Thanks and Ba Ma Pi,(that means,"see ya later!" in Nishnob.

Ridgefield Show - 2009-05-21
My wife and I saw the show last night in Ridgefield and it was terrific. Patty, you haven't lost a step! The interaction with the fans was genuine and the "goodbye to you" dance retrospective was spot on. You are still a babe and still rock and the band sounds perfect. We can't wait for your return and these venues make for the best shows. Ps. I run road races and have "the warrior" on my MP3. It is an all time best running song.
